TO RE-ENABLE JAVASCRIPT

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer do the following:

Select 'Internet Options'. This is a submenu of the Tools menu in version 5 or is under the View menu in version 4.

Select the 'Security' tab.

Select 'Custom'. In version 4 you select the custom level and then press the 'Settings' button. In version 5 you just press the 'Custom Level' button.

Scroll down the list until you see the 'Scripting' section. Make sure you click on 'Enable' under Active Scripting.

Press the OK button. You will be asked to confirm the change. Press Yes.

If you are using Netscape, it is more difficult.

If Javascript is not enabled in Netscape, and you do not consider yourself an advanced user, we suggest you reinstall Netscape. The default installation will permit Javascript to run.

If you are an advanced user, you probably were the one who disabled it! Here's what you need to do in case you don't remember:

Select 'Preferences' from the Edit menu, then select 'Applications' under 'Navigator'. See if there is a Javascript entry. If not, you will need to press the 'New Type' button and add it.

The mime type will need to be:

application/x-javascript

and under Windows, the application will be:

C:\WINDOWS\WScript.exe "%1" %*

assuming that is the location of your wscript program.
